National Sandwich Day is Here!
That’s right folks; the day has arrived for all you sandwich lovers to unite and head to your nearest SUBWAY® Canada restaurant to pick up your favorite sub. Not only do you pay homage to the beautiful creation that is the SUBWAY sandwich but, to sweeten the deal, when you purchase a sub and a drink–you get a FREE sub of equal or lesser value.
If you didn’t know, November 3rd is also the birthday of John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich. This 18th century English noble decided one day that he wanted to eat his meal with one hand during a 24-hour gambling event. He then asked his servants to place his favorite lunch meat between two slices of bread. Alas, the sandwich was born! That is, of course, how legend goes!

Apart from being gifted an additional sub after enjoying your favorite sandwich, one of the best parts of celebrating at SUBWAY Canada is that you can truly help your community. Many of us know of families who rely on their city’s food banks to put food on their tables or maybe you yourself have benefited from their programs in the past.
Everyone goes through tough times at one point in their lives and being able to have programs that truly help people when they need help the most is really a blessing.
Stopping by SUBWAY Canada this Thursday, November 3rd is an easy way to help. When you buy a sub and drink, they will donate a meal to Food Banks Canada and in total will be donating over 303,000 meals across the country through Food Banks Canada’s national food sharing program. You get to eat well and give back and it does not get any easier to help your community, right? Total, WIN-WIN.

On National Sandwich Day, SUBWAY Canada will have a limited-time Snapchat lens available to celebrate the occasion. I don’t know about you but, one of the main reasons I am on Snapchat is to play around with all the fun filters.
So, I can tell you with absolute certainty that I will have a blast turning my face into a SUBWAY Sandwich and catching the ingredients to get points. C’mon, you know you want to, too.
